While not having as bold a sex life as her character Samantha Jones in “Sex and the City”, actress Kim Cattrall is also a strong and independent person in real life.
Most women worry about their appearance as they enter middle age or begin menopause. However, Kim Cattrall has a contrasting view on this matter.

Cattrall shared her thoughts in an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2014. The boldest star of “Sex and the City” said that she felt she had “the right” to talk about menopause.
Kim Cattrall said, “I do not think it is something to be ashamed of. It is as natural as giving birth — it really is. It’s part of life.“
The “Sex and the City” star expressed her views: “Physically, it’s a part of how we are made. Hormonally, it’s how we are constructed. Chemically, it’s how we function. Just like everything in nature. A seed is planted, it grows, it flowers and bears fruit, and after some time, it starts to change and age, and that’s terrifying.“

She continued, “You ask yourself, ‘Am I attractive, desirable, feminine? What’s the next chapter of my life?’ I think one of the reasons it’s so taboo is because we don’t talk about it — even talking to a doctor about it is too frightening. I want to reach out to women to encourage them to learn about this stage in their lives.”
The “Sex and the City” star added, “People always talk about menopause as a kind of decline for women, something negative, but I see it as the beginning of a new phase, a final chapter. It’s like: ‘What am I going to do in the next 30 or 40 years, and with whom?’”
In “Sex and the City”, Kim Cattrall played Samantha Jones – the character with the boldest sex life. This role earned her five Emmy Award nominations for “Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.” Additionally, the actress, now in her 70s, received four Golden Globe nominations for the role, winning the award in 2002 for “Best Supporting Actress.”
